When rock breaks into stone and stone crumbles into soil, new grass begins to grow—nature holds a quiet resilience. Nature is simple, and we drew that simplicity onto the land. We placed the building on the site facing the sea as if setting a stone on the ground, and created paths as if carving gentle gaps between rocks. The spaces that settle into the earth as though they are interwoven with it will gain a unique sensibility born from ordinary nature.
바위가 깨져 돌이 되고 돌이 부서져 흙이 되면 풀이 자라나는 생명력을 가집니다. 자연은 단순합니다. 그 단순함을 땅에 그렸습니다. 바다를 마주한 땅에 바위를 두듯 건물을 놓고 틈을 내듯 길을 그어 놓았습니다. 땅 속에 엉겨들어 가는 듯 자리 잡은 공간들은 평범한 자연이 주는 특별한 감성을 얻을 것입니다.
We wanted to gift the picturesque sea to both those who come intentionally and those who simply pass by. From the coastal road, the scenery created in harmony with the sea offers a different, unexpected side of Shinan’s familiar shoreline.
Apédcelle is a place for brief stays.
The café is where you linger for an hour or two, and the stay is where you spend a night. Regardless of how long one remains, we thought deeply about the kind of memory this place could leave.
If within this landscape woven into nature, one can recall a line of poetry or a fragment of a painting, we hope it becomes a special memory in the journey of rest.
이곳을 보고자 들른 이들과 그냥 지나가는 이들 모두에게 그림 같은 바다를 선물하고 싶었습니다. 해안도로에서 바다와 어울려 만들어내는 풍경은 평범한 신안 바다의 다른 면을 선사해 주리라 기대합니다. 아패드셀은 잠시 머물다 가는 곳입니다. 카페는 한두시간을 머물고 스테이는 하루를 머물다 가는 곳입니다. 머무는 시간과 상관없이 어떤 기억을 안겨줄 건지 고민했습니다. 자연에 엉겨든 풍경 속에서 시 한편, 그림 한 조각 떠올릴 수 있다면 쉼의 여정에 특별한 기억으로 남으리라 기대합니다.
